What is Round-Robin?
In round-robin, every team plays every other team. With 8 teams, each team plays 7 matches. It's the fairest format because success depends on overall performance, not a single bad day.
Calculate Your Matches
Use formula: n(n-1)/2 where n = teams. For 8 teams: 8×7÷2 = 28 matches. For 10 teams: 45 matches. Make sure you have time for all games.
Set Up Your League
In TournaCore, choose "League" format when creating your cup. Enter teams and the system generates all fixtures automatically using the circle method for fair scheduling.
Configure Points & Tiebreakers
Standard: 3 points for win, 1 for draw, 0 for loss. Tiebreakers: head-to-head, goal difference, goals scored. You can customize these in settings.
Schedule Matches
The scheduler balances matches across rounds so teams get even rest. With 8 teams, you'll have 7 rounds of 4 matches each.
Enable "Play Twice" for home and away fixtures (doubles total matches).
Track Standings
As you enter results, the league table updates automatically. Spectators can view current standings on the public results page.
